
Ram Bahadur Bomjan, who is popularly known in Nepal as "Buddha Boy," a reincarnation of lord Buddha, has gone missing again after he "re-appeared" in December last year.The 16-year-old boy had been seen meditating nearHalkhoriya pond in Bara, a southern district, for the last two and a half months after he re-appeared in December with a sword in his hand.
He was spotted meditating in a jungle after a gap of about 10 months.Locals in the district said he left his meditating place Thursday midnight. Bomjan, who claimed to have been meditating without food and water since mid May 2005, is a resident of Ratanpuri-9, Bara. He had gone missing in February2006 and was again spotted in December.
Officials of
Namo Buddha Service Committee searched for him throughout the day on
Friday. Inspector Rameshwor Yadav of the Area Police Office in Nijgadh
said the police have not been able to reach the spot though they were
reported about his missing.
