In the human experience, giants are literally the "elephants in the room". When our research first began on this paradigm, we had little knowledge of how extensive the evidence of their existence was. We now have a comprehensive database consisting of over 200 historical descriptions; over half from the United States and the U.K. history, alone. And, our unpublished files contain enough information to more than triple the current data we now have online. Were one to undertake a thorough study of giants and record all in detail, it would certainly be a life's work.

The lack of the presence of giants in orthodox history, academia, and anthropological studies is appalling in light of the true historical records from every part of the globe. Even more mysterious is the seemingly unanimous decisions by the keepers of the world's museums and archeological treasures to keep the physical evidence of giants hidden from public view. Only a smattering of the evidence is available in obscure locations. Thousands of skeletons and hundreds of historical reports are ignored. The accepted knowledge among the world's peoples is that giants are the creatures of myth and folklore, relegated to children's fairy tales and B grade horror movies, an it is almost a crime not to include a giant in any fantasy film or video game. The reality is that giants were present throughout our history from ancient biblical accounts and historical Roman military campaigns to the relatively modern genocide of the natives of North America. Giants appear in the legends of Australia, Bavaria, Belgium, Chad, Chile, China, England, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, India , Italy, Kazakhstan, Laos, Morocco, the Netherlands, Nova Scotia, Pakistan, Patagonia, the Philippines, Poland, Rwanda, Russia, Scotland, Sicily, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Terra del Fuego, Turkey, the United Sates, Wales, Zanzibar, and the ancient Incan, Toltec, and Nordic cultures, just to name a few. Giants are everywhere; in our religions, our history, our literature, and our folklore.

Giants: The fables of mythology contain accounts of horrible monsters, terrible in ferocity, whose mission was the destruction of the life of the in-dividuals unfortunate enough to come into their domains. The ogres known as the Cyclops, and the fierce anthropophages, called Lestrygons, of Sicily, who were neighbors of the Cyclops, are pictured in detail in the "Odyssey" of Homer. Nearly all the nations of the earth have their fairy tales or super-stitions of monstrous beings inhabiting some forest, mountain, or cave; and pages have been written in the heroic poems of all languages describing battles between these monsters and men with superhuman courage, in which the giant finally succumbs. The word giant is derived indirectly from the old English word "geant," which in its turn came from the French of the conquering Normans. It is Of Greek derivation, "yiya'--or the Latin, 'gigas." The Hebrew parallel is "nophel,' or plural, " nephilim."

Ancient Giants: We are told in the Bible" that the bedstead of Og, King of Basham, was 9 cubits long, which in English measure is 16 feet. Goliath of Gath, who was slain by David, stood 6 cubits and a span tall, which is about 11 feet. The body of Orestes, according to the Greeks, was 11 feet long. The mythical Titans, 45 in number, were a race of Giants who warred against the Gods, and their descendants were the Gigantes. The height attributed to these creatures was fabulous, and they were supposed to leap up mountains to scale the sky and to help them to wage their battles. Hercules, a man of incredible strength, but who is said to have been not over 7 feet high, was dispatched against the Gigantes. Pliny describes Gabbaras, who was brought to Rome by Claudius Caesar from Arabia and was between 9 and 10 feet in height, and adds that the re-mains of Posio and Secundilla, found in the reign of Augustus Caesar in the Sallustian Gardens, of which they were supposed to be the guardians, meas-ured 10 feet 3 inches each...

Millions of years ago, before what we call 'modern' man an ancient race with high intelligence, advanced technology and aerospace capabilities lived on earth. Great earth catastrophies wiped out much of this race , mutated some and drove many more underground. While waiting out the effects of what an ancient nucleur war created on the surface, man went back to a more natural or should I say 'simplistic' culture.  By the time they once again surfaced to  the earth or even came back from distance planets the Age of Man had changed.   Knowledge was lost and the old technology was gone. Man had to start over. ..as they had done in previous Ages. Today we still remain very ignorant  of our past.   Until 1847, almost nothing was known about fossil man. Science ignored the study of ancient man. It was only thorugh the bible and traditions that the western worlds had any reference to these wonderous races.   One such race was the race of Giants who were "in the earth in those days" of old.

H.P. Blavataksy, The Secret Doctrine, points out to us references in the Bible and in our tradition about the Rephaim (Giants,(the mighty ones),   the spectres (Phantoms), the Nephilim, or the fallen ones.. they are shown  "as if identical, though they are all men, since the Bible calls them the primitive and the mighty ones" -- e.g., Nimrod.  These names, which belong by right only to the four preceding races and the earliest beginning of the Fifth, allude very clearly to the first two Phantom (astral) races; to the fallen one -- the Third; and to the race of the Atlantean Giants -- the Fourth, after which "men began to decrease in stature." Although Science has come a long way since 1847, they, for their own reasons,  have not shared this information with the world populas. We have been kept in the dark . Not only kept in the dark, but conditioned and trained through the educational system, media and peers to scoff and shut out alternative ideas about the history of man...

In 1947 an Arab boy tending his sheep accidentally discovered an ancient cave near the Dead Sea. In it were found a priceless collection of ancient scrolls which soon became known as the Dead Sea Scrolls or the Qumran Texts. Among these writings was one known as the Genesis Apocryphon. At first it was thought to be the long lost Book of Lamech. Although the scroll consisted of a speech by Lamech and a story about some of the patriarchs from Enoch to Abraham; it was not that book. According to the Bible, Lamech was the son of Methuselah and the father of Noah. He was the ninth of the ten patriarchs of the antedeluvian world. It is significant, however, that the Genesis Apocryphon mentions the Nephilim, and makes reference to the "sons of God" and the "daughters of men" introduced in Genesis 6. The Apocryphon also elaborates considerably on the succinct statements found in the Bible, and provides valuable insights into the way these ancient stories were interpreted by the ancient Jews.

The copy of the Genesis Apocryphon discovered at Qumran dates back to the 2nd century B.C., but it was obviously based on much older sources. When discovered in 1947, it had been much mutilated from the ravages of time and humidity. The sheets had become so badly stuck together that years passed before the text was deciphered and made known. When scholars finally made public its content, the document confirmed that celestial beings from the skies had landed on planet Earth. More than that, it told how these beings had mated with Earth-women and had begat giants. Is this story myth or history, fable or fact? Specialized research has revealed that many ancient legends have a basis in fact. But to answer the question, let us consult the most authoritative document known to man--the Bible. In Genesis 6:1-4 the "sons of God" are captivated by the beauty of the "daughters of men." They subsequently marry them and produce an offspring of giants known as the Nephilim. Genesis goes on to say that these Nephilim were "mighty men" and "men of renown." "Sons of God"? "Daughters of men"? What sort of beings were these? Were they human or did they belong to an alien species from outer space? ....

What are Mr. Sitchin's theories? Basically:

• There is another planet in our solar system, which he calls Nibiru. This planet has a very eccentric orbit, which brings it through the asteroid belt every 3600 years. Life developed on this planet.

• Originally, there was no Earth & moon between Mars and Venus. There was, however, a planet orbiting in the place of what is now the asteroid belt. Sitchin identifies this planet as Tiamat.

• One fateful orbit, Nibiru came too close to Tiamat, and Nibiru's moons collided with Tiamat, cracking the planet. On the next orbit, Nibiru or her moons crashed into Tiamat again, smashing her into a lot of small pieces and two larger pieces. The smaller pieces became the asteroid belt, and larger pieces became the earth and the moon. The Earth became seeded with life from Nibiru at this point.

• 450,000 years ago, the atmosphere of Nibiru began to erode. Enki, the son of Nibiran ruler Anu, came to Earth to mine for gold, which could be used to save Nibiru's failing atmosphere.

• 380,000 years ago, a war occurred between two rival factions of Nibirans on Earth. The group led by Anu's son Enlil triumphed.

• 300,000 years ago, the Nibirans, also called "Annunaki," tired of working in the mines and mutinied. The Annunaki leaders Enki and Ninhursag then took primitive ape-women native to Earth and by genetic manipulation they created mankind to take over the manual labor. Mankind then began to proliferate on the Earth.

• 100,000 years ago, some of the Annunaki began to intermarry with Earth women. The Annunaki were the Nefilim (Nephilim) mentioned in the Bible.

• A division occurred within the Annunaki regarding the future of mankind. Enlil decided that mankind must be destroyed, but Enki and Ninhursag disagreed.

• 13,000 years ago, the Annunaki determined that the next close passage of Nibiru would cause great tidal waves on Earth. Enlil swore the Annunaki to secrecy regarding this, seeing it as an opportunity to destroy mankind.

• 11,000 years ago - just in time - Enki instructed a human - Utnapishtim (Noah)- to build a craft, a submarine (the ark?), to save a select few humans.

• Over the next 9,000 years, the Annunaki nursed mankind along into a fledgling civilization, while continually warring among themselves. They set up Earthly kingships to rule mankind and to be intermediaries between themselves and mankind.

• Every 3600 years, when Nibiru makes its regular transit through the inner solar system, we once again have contact with the Annunaki
