A snake-like creature has been filmed moving slowly through a frozen glacial lake in Iceland. Some believe the video to show evidence of the legendary Lagarfljotsormurinn, Iceland"s answer to the Loch Ness Monster. In the video the serpent-shaped object appears to slink steadily through the icy waters, could this be a strange newundiscovered species or is there a more conventional explanation ? Lagarfljotsormurinn is Iceland’s equivalent to Scotland’s Loch Ness monster.
It was first mentioned in sources dating back to 1345. According to legend, it was at first a tiny worm which was placed on a ring of gold to make the gold grow.
