A man in Sweden has been rescued after being stuck in the snow in his car for a whole two months. The 45-year-old had become stuck at the end of a remote forest track with no food or supplies and was there for two months before finally being found by snowmobilers who examined the car believing it to be a wreck. It is believed the man survived by drinking melted snow and by enteringa dormant-like state.
"Just incredible that he"s alive considering that he had no food, but also since it"s been really cold for some time after Christmas," said a member of the rescue team. Doctors at the hospital said humans would normally be able to survive for about four weeks without food. Besides eating snow, the man probably survived by going into a dormant-like state, physicianStefan Branth told Vasterbottens-Kuriren.
