
NASA have conceded that the Mars rover Spirit has stopped responding to attempts to communicate with it.Since 2004 the Mars rover Spirit has trundled over the Martian surface but after having been stuck in one place for over a year and with the onset of the freezing martianwinter Spirit has now fallen silent.
The aging, sand-trapped Mars rover Spirit failed to make a scheduled communication this week and may have gone into a power-saving hibernation to survive the Red Planet"s winter, NASA"s Jet Propulsion Laboratory said Wednesday.
