
NASA has released ultra high quality footage taken from the shuttle"s rocket boosters during launch.The footage shows in spectacular detail the ascent from ignition to the point at which the boosters are jettisoned with the curvature of the Earth and the black of space visible in the background. What sets this video apart however is the inclusion of audio which has been remasteredby George Lucas" Skywalker Sound company, every rattle and whoosh has been cleaned up and can be heard in unprecedented detail.
The footage is due to be included as an extra on a new NASA DVD commemorating the Space Shuttles. Drop whatever you"re doing and watch this. NASA has released videos shot from onboard the Space Shuttle"s Solid Rocket Boosters in the past, but you"ve never seen oneprepared as masterfully as this.
