Did Hitler's Nazis believe in a hollow Earth - and escape inside after the
war?
THE ALLIES ARE closing in. Berlin is crumbling under the weight and impact of
hundreds of Allied bombs. Deep in his fortified bunker, Adolf Hitler, once
unshakable in his confidence in Nazi world domination, now admits that defeat
is at hand. But Hitler is determined never to suffer the humiliation of being
captured by his enemies. There is only one escape route - one he has planned for should he ever face
just such a turn of events. Suicide is out of the question. Instead, Hitler
and his corps of elite traverse through an underground tunnel to an isolated
airstrip. There they board an unmarked plane and fly south. South to the pole.
To the opening at the South Pole where they will enter the hollow Earth and
disappear from history.
Based in fact:
This alternate scenario to history is actually accepted as fact by some
proponents of the hollow Earth theory. And as incredible as it sounds, the
genesis of this story lies in some facts that carry some merit: some of
Hitler's top advisors - perhaps even Hitler himself - believed that the Earth
was hollow; and there was at least one expedition by the Nazi military to
exploit that belief for strategic advantage during the war. As with all such stories, it's often difficult to sort out facts,
exaggerations, and outright fabrications. But it's an intriguing tale, and one
that requires a little background.
Several theories:
There are several hollow Earth theories. The most prevalent one holds that
there are great but hidden openings at both the North and South poles, and
that it is possible to enter those holes. Some – including the respected
Admiral Byrd – claimed to have entered those holes. According to the legends,
other civilizations live within the Earth on it's inner surface, warmed and
lit by an interior sun. The idea has inspired novels by Edgar Allen Poe (MS
Found in a Bottle), Edgar Rice Borroughs (At the Earth's Core), and Jules
Verne (A Journey to the Center of the Earth)...

Hollow Earth - Legends, Evidence and the Eyewitness Accounts
Underground civilizations link with the 'Hollow Earth Theory'. There are
supposedly races that exist in subterranean cities beneath planet Earth. Very
often, these dwellers of the world beneath are more technologically advanced
than we on the surface. Some believe that UFOs are not from other planets, but
are manufactured by strange beings in the interior of the Earth. In the late 17th century, British astronomer
Edmund Halley proposed that Earth consists of four concentric spheres and "also
suggested that the interior of the Earth was populated with life and lit by a
luminous atmosphere. He thought the aurora borealis, or northern lights, was
caused by the escape of this gas through a thin crust at the poles." In the early 19th century, an eccentric veteran
of the war of 1812 John Symmes promoted the idea of interior concentric spheres
so widely that the alleged opening to the inner world was named "Symmes Hole."
Jules Verne wrote Journey to the Center of
the Earth in 1864 and Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875-1950), the creator of
Martian adventures and Tarzan of the Apes, also wrote novels set in the hollow
earth. Legends often ignite the imagination of fiction writers and fiction often
ignites the imagination of the pseudoscientist. In 1869, Cyrus Reed Teed, an herbalist and
self-proclaimed alchemist, had a vision of a woman who told him that we are
living on the inside of the hollow Earth. For nearly forty years, Teed promoted
his idea in pamphlets and speeches. He even founded a cult called the Koreshans
(Koresh is the Hebrew equivalent of Cyrus). In 1906, William Reed published The Phantom
of the Poles in which he claimed that nobody had found the north or south
poles because they don't exist. Instead, the poles are entrances to the hollow
Earth. In 1913, Marshall B. Gardner privately
published Journey to the Earth's Interior in which he rejected the notion of
concentric spheres but swore that inside the hollow earth was a sun 600 miles in
diameter. Gardner, too, claimed that there were huge holes a thousand mile wide
at the poles...

The Hollow Earth Is Indicated In Religion And Legends
EDITORIAL, Dec 29 (VNN) (An excerpt from Jan Lamprecht's new book " Hollow Planets ")
There are many very strange tales, legends and scriptures across the world from ancient times. We have come to believe that our forefathers were, for the most part, liars. But perhaps our judgement on them is too severe for perhaps there were exceptional things which occurred back then which were worth recording.
Take for example the legends of Dragons and the D&D games which have been spawned from this folklore. I have always been struck by the conceptual similarity between dragons and dinosaurs. Could it be that certain types of dinosaurs actually retreated into an underground habitat where, under certain exceptional conditions, they could actually feed, breed and live quite safely from predators?
Across the world one finds tales and legends of strange animals seen over and over again in the same limited geographical area. These creatures may go unseen for decades and then suddenly someone once again sees them. I have long been fascinated by the young but growing science of Cryptozoology. I have wondered if perhaps some of these creatures actually inhabit an underground habitat? Perhaps these creatures live safely underground and occasionally come out of well-concealed entrances to feed. They may be safe in their underground world and may perhaps even have adapted to it very well. Perhaps some of them can drink or feed from underground rivers? Perhaps we have yet to discover the field of subterranean zoology.
Here are a few references from the Bible which hint at something/somebody living underground:-
In Philippians (2:10) we find this reference: "That at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow of things in heaven, and things in Earth, and things under the Earth". This quote from Philippians mentions that knees of "things" (creatures?) shall bow. These "things" are all alive. Among these are included the "things" which live "under the Earth.' Is this a reference to subterranean life?
In the book of Revelations (5:3) we find a similar statement, but this time it specifically mentions subterranean humans: "And no man in heaven, nor in Earth, neither under the Earth, was able to open the book, neither look thereon". The suggestion here is that there are also men "under the Earth."

Subterranean Tunnels & the Hollow Earth: My Search for Tunnels in the Earth
by: David Hatcher Childress From "World Explorer", Vol. 2, No. 3.
All are architects of fate, Working the walls of time: Some with massive deeds and great; Some with lesser rhyme. -Longfellow, "The Builders"
What if I told you that I had been inside a fantastic tunnel system that runs beneath the continent of South America? Would you think me a liar? Or worse yet, insane? Though I admit it is a story that seems difficult to believe, I am telling the truth. Read on, dear reader, and decide if I am mad or lying.
Although it seems incredible, there is a great deal of evidence to show that a network of ancient tunnels exists throughout much of South America. Legends abound on this tunnel system, and I can state that I have even been inside some of the tunnels on this strangest of continents.
Gold of the Incas: Legends of tunnels in South America surfaced almost immediately after the conquest when the Spaniards discovered that the Incas had hidden much of their treasure-sacred relics of pure gold either beneath the Inca capital of Cuzco or in a secret city known as Paititi. Either way, legend had it that a tunnel system was used.
The history of the conquest of the Inca Empire by the Spanish is one of the most bizarre and incredible stories of history. That Francisco Pizarro with only 183 men could conquer a sophisticated empire of several million people is a feat that has never been equaled, and probably never will be!
Pizarro made his first expedition down the Pacific Coast from Panama in 1527, attracted by rumors of gold and other treasure. A Greek of his company went alone from the ship into an Inca village on the coast, and was taken to be a returning god by the natives. They brought him to a temple filled with more gold than he had seen in his life. Returning to the ship, he told Pizarro about the fabulous wealth he had seen. Satisfied that the rumors were true, Pizarro returned to Panama and then to Spain to prepare another expedition. He set out again in 1531, landed on a lonely beach in Ecuador and began marching inland. He was entering the newly united Inca empire, which had just recovered from a civil war. The people of Peru, Bolivia, and rest of the Inca empire were not all true Incas, but largely Quechua and Aymara Indians. Incas were the ruling elite, of a different race, who believed themselves descended from "MancoCapac," a red-haired, bearded messenger from God...

A U.S. scientist and a small band of believers are planning a journey to the Canadian Arctic for what they call "the greatest geological expedition in history." Are they searching for Arctic oil reserves? Documenting evidence of climate change? Not quite. They're looking for a fog-shrouded hole in the Arctic Ocean that leads -- they say -- to the centre of the Earth, where an unknown civilization is lurking inside the hollow core of the planet. This time next year, Kentucky based phy... There are two hollow earth theories. According to the first one we live on the crust, but there is another world on the inside where lies - some say - the realm of Agartha, the home of the King of the World (see, for example, the fantasies of French philosopher René Guénon). The second theory has it that while we think we live on the outer crust, we actually live in the interior (on a convex surface instead of a concave one). One of the first hollow earth theories was proposed in 1692 by the Engl... What would happen to the world as we know it if the Earth were hollow below the crust, assuming it didn't collapse inwards? If the Earth were hollow we would be in danger of death by suffocation, thirst, frying, starving, freezing and drowning, in that order. A hollow Earth would not have enough mass to hold on to an atmosphere by gravity, and all the surface water would boil away. If the crust had enough mass to make up for the hollow centre, there would be no magnetic field, which is genera... Read More
