A previously unreleased film of President John F Kennedy's motorcade has revealed new details of the final moments before his assassination. The silent film shows the president and his wife Jackie shortly before the fatal shot was fired. Amateur photographer George Jefferies held onto the film for more than 40 years believing it was unimportant. But Dallas museum curator Gary Mack says it is bound to provide new fuel to the conspiracy theorists. The film shows the president's coatbunched up on his back - a detail some will see as evidence that the bullet wounds on the president's body did not match those on his jacket.

The film also shows "the clearest, best film of Jackie in the motorcade", says Mr Mack. Also visible is secret service agent Clint Hill, riding on the back of the car. After the shots were fired, Mr Hill jumped onto the back of the vehicle and drove with it to the hospital. The new film only came to light when Mr Jefferies mentioned it in conversation to his son-in-law, Wayne Graham, who persuaded him to donate it to themuseum. Mr Mack said: "Everyone who captured the motorcade before the assassination thinks their pictures are unimportant. But to historians, all photos and home movies are important to possibly answer questions that will be asked in the future. "I've already seen the footage on a conspiracy web site." During the Cold War the United States considered lanching and detonating a nuclear bomb on the Moon. The plan was aimed at intimidating the Soviets by putting on a decisive display of America"s muscle. Tentatively named "A Study of Lunar Research Flights", the project would have seen a missile carrying a nuclear device being launched from an undetermined location and travelling 238,000 miles tothe moon where it would have impacted and exploded on the surface.

A young Carl Sagan ( who was only a graduate student at the time ) was involved in calculating the dust and gas generated by the explosion.Ultimately however the plan was scrapped, mainly due to the risks posed in the event of a failure and because there was concerns over contaminating the Moon with radioactive material. At the height of the space race, the U. S.considered detonating an atom bomb on the moon as a display of America"s Cold War muscle.

Leaked emails reportedly suggest that Bin Laden was actually taken back to the US for cremation. The emails were obtained by the infamous hacker group "Anonymous" from Stratfor, an organisation that deals with geopolitical and intelligence analysis that some call the "Shadow CIA". While the emails seem to confirm that Bin Laden was indeed killed during theraid on his compound, they suggest that his body wasn"t buried at sea but returned to the US to be cremated at a secret location.

The claims are sure to stoke conspiracy theorists, especially since the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology that Burton refers to closed its doors on September 15, 2011, four months after bin Laden"s death.

Cover-ups and foul play have been suggested as Russia"s Phobos-Grunt probe crashes back to Earth.Conflicting media reports about the crash site and claims that the probe was launched before it was ready due to a limited launch window have created a degree of controversy with regard to what exactly happened toRussia"s latest space endeavour.

Russia"s Phobos-Grunt space probe suffered a debilitating malfunction shortly after its November 2011 launch, which stranded it in low-Earth orbit for more than two months before it succumbed to gravitational forces and plummeted through the atmosphere on Jan. 15.
