UFO Sightings

Former MoD investigator Nick Pope has warned of potential UFO activity over London during the Olympics.Pope, who used to investigate UFO reports at the Ministry of Defense, is convinced that UFO activity during the games could pose a serious risk to air security. "With the summer of mass events we are all on high alert for terrorism," he said. "But we must also cast our eyesfurther afield and be prepared for even the most seemingly unfathomable."Following his work for the MoD, Pope is convinced that we are not alone.

"If aliens have studied our psychology, they may choose to appear in our skies on a significant date - the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games is one date being widely circulated by conspiracy groups," he said. A UK UFO expert has warned about the possibility of sudden alienappearance in London skies during the upcoming Olympic Games in the British capital.

Authorities in several countries were alerted following sightings of a strange swirling object in the sky.Reports came in from Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and other countries in the region, observers described the spectacle as a swirling, shining object that gave off a smoke trail. Whilerumors have persisted that the object was some sort of missile test there have been no confirmations of operations being carried out in the area at that time.

An 11-year-old boy managed to snap a photograph of a strange object while playing in his garden.Jack Brody first noticed the silver object in the sky over Epping Forest on May 27th, his first instinct was to run inside to fetch his camera and take a picture of it. "I got back from a walk and Jack ran up to me and said ‘you will not believe what I got a pictureof,"" said his father, Simon."He pointed at this thing that was so small that you could barely see it.

It was up there glimmering in the sun. It is a kind of silver circular thing. It is very odd. It is funny, committed UFO spotters who spend years trying to get pictures would not be able to get one that is that good." An 11-year-old boy has sparked debate between sky-gazers after snapping a UFO hoveringover Epping Forest.

The details of a 1952 UFO sighting by an RAF fighter pilot have been revealed for the first time.Flight Sergeant Roland Hughes had been flying his Vampire FB9 over Germany when he found himself being intercepted by a "gleaming silver, metallic disc" which flew alongside him for some distance. RAF radar stations on the ground also picked up the object which was said to be moving faster than any known aircraft.When Hughes reported the encounter to his senior officers hewas sent to speak to the aviation minister Duncan Sandys.

Sandys was so intrigued by Hughes" story that he went on to tell several senior civil servants about the case including the government"s chief scientist to whom he wrote a letter stating that the account coupled with the radar evidence was "convincing". It is one of the most tantalising ever official accounts of an encounter with a UFO – deemed so credible it even convinced the government minister who investigated it. Now, for the first time, the sightingof a flying saucer by an RAF fighter pilot and the subsequent high level inquiry it prompted can be revealed.
