An unidentified group have released a series of grainy photographs showing undersea ruins of an ancient city that is being claimed to be the fabled Atlantis. They are however keeping the location of the find a secret. "A group of'undersea archaeologists' have become the latest to claim they have uncovered the lost city of Atlantis.

Scientists believe that have finally discovered the whereabouts of the fabled lost city of Atlantis.Satellite imagery was used to survey a submerged city north of Cadiz in Spain where the multi-ringed Atlantis has allegedly been uncovered in the marshlands of Dona Ana Park. It is thought that Atlantis was wiped outby a massive tsunami thousands of years ago.

A US led research team may have finally located the lost city of Atlantis, the legendary metropolis believed swamped by a tsunami thousands of years ago, in mud flats in southern Spain.

Analysis of underwater remains of a suspected ancient city leads research team to Southern Spain.Mud flats located in Southern Spain are potentially the final resting place of the legendary lost city of Atlantis. A team of geologists has reviewed radar data collected in 2009 and areusing it to back up the theory that natives of Atlantis that survived the city"s watery fate (likely a tsunami, the researchers believe) traveled north and built "memorial cities".

The team"s findings will be reported on a special produced by National Geographic called "Finding Atlantis". To solve the age-old mystery, the team analyzed satellite imagery of a suspected submerged city just north of Cadiz, Spain. There, buried in the vast marshlands of theDona Ana Park, they believe that they pinpointed the ancient, multiringed dominion known as Atlantis.

A rectangular shaped feature that looks like a street grid in the middle of the sea has been spotted on Google Ocean.It was spotted by an aeronautical engineer who said that it resembled an aerial map of a city, given its location some believe that the feature represents the resting place of the fabled Atlantis. The network of criss-cross linesis 620 miles off the coast of north west Africa near the Canary Islands on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean.

The perfect rectangle – which is around the size of Wales – was noticed on the search giant"s underwater exploration tool by an aeronautical engineer who claims it looks like an "aerial map" of a city.
