Archaeologists believe they may have found the tomb of the biblical prophet Zechariah near Jerusalem. It is thought the tomb is located within the ruins of a recently discovered Byzantine-era church found in the Judaean hills at Horbat Midras. "Researchers believe that in light of an analysis of the Christian sources ... thechurch at Horbet Madras is a memorial church designed to mark the tomb of the prophet Zechariah," the Israel Antiquities Authority has stated.

Noted astronomer, Johann Kepler, studied this mystery two centuries ago.  According to Vyacheslav Zaitsev, "scientists held an international symposium to discuss this matter."

This phenomenon attracted the attention of the authors of the Christian Apocrypha.  According to Zaitsev, the Apocrypha was a group of "books banned by church censorship from services and religious reading."  The Apocrypha was written to answer man's deepest and "most dramatic mysteries of life." Although Zaitsev believed that the problem of explaining this mystery "may turn out to have an altogether unexpected solution."  The solution lies in the Holy Bible, which to this day remains a factual, historic document.  He relates one story documented in the Christian Apocrypha, which Zaitsev claims, was "originally written in Latin." It was translated into many languages and was translated into Byelorussia in the 15th Century.

"From that let us turn to the Christian Apocrypha...books banned by church censorship from services and religious reading.  The Apocrypha reflects man's efforts to explain the most dramatic mysteries of life. These books sometimes stand in direct contradiction of Church-approved texts. "A familiar one about early Christianity is called The Tale of the Three Magi...The star, it says, was watched by astronomers (that is the actual word used) in many Oriental countries. Once it appeared at night and 'lit up the whole of the sky as the sun does.' Then the star hung over Mt. Vans for a whole day, after which it alighted on the mountain like an eagle. The text contains a reference to 'certain books' which claim that Christ came down from the star.  'But it was different from the one pictured in our churches.  It had wings, the kind an eagle has, and many long rays,' which sent it moving in a circle when it descended upon Mount Vans." -ZAITSEV

Zaitsev asks, "what was the basis of the author's fantasy? That, too, is shrouded in mystery."

What happens when you take a really skanky sex story and dress it up in a lot of flowery words? You get the Bible. Or large chunks of it, anyway. Sure, rather than using phrases such as "reverse frog squat," or "slinging manjam," Biblical sex is referenced almost exclusively as "coming in unto" (a phrase still used by porn stars who tend to drop the "in unto"). But once you get past the unimaginative verbs, the Bible has some nasty, nasty stories. Such as:

#6 Lot Has Drunk, Drunk Sex in a Cave. With His Daughters : Sunday school lessons tend to focus on God turning Lot's wife into a pillar of salt like she's starring in one of Sarah Connor's nightmares from T2. It's the sort of imagery that might distract you from something like flagrant incest. But sure enough, at Genesis 19:30-36:

"Lot went up from Zoar, and stayed in the mountains, and his two daughters with him; for he was afraid to stay in Zoar; and he stayed in a cave, he and his two daughters.  Then the firstborn said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is not a man on earth to come in to us after the manner of the earth. “Come, let us make our father drink wine, and let us lie with him that we may preserve our family through our father.”  So they made their father drink wine that night, and the firstborn went in and lay with her father; and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose.  On the following day, the firstborn said to the younger, “Behold, I lay last night with my father; let us make him drink wine tonight also; then you go in and lie with him, that we may preserve our family through our father.”  So they made their father drink wine that night also, and the younger arose and lay with him; and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose."

Something tells us Lot's daughters would lose any drinking game centered around "Never Have I Ever." If you've done it in a cave--and you've done it with your dad--you've probably also done it tangled in Fruit By The Foot or by accident with a vegetable...

Researchers exploring the story of Moses parting the Red Sea might have uncovered an alternative explanation.According to research the wind needed to part the water of the Red Sea would be blowing in the wrong direction, instead a steady 62-mile-per-hour wind over a lake at the end of the Nilecould have been sufficient to expose a land bridge over which the Israelites could have crossed.

To drive away the waters and part the Red Sea, Moses needed a different location than previously thought, according to a new study on the miraculous biblical event.
