A man visiting Lake Okanagan believes he may have recorded footage of the legendary Ogopogo.The video shows mysterious ripples in the water. "It was not going with the waves," said Richard Huls who filmed the footage. "It was not a wave, obviously, just a darker color. The size and the fact that they were not parallel with the waves made me thinkit had to be something else." Ogopogo has been allegedly sighted many times over the years and is often described as being a 40-50ft long creature resembling a large serpent.

A possible sighting of Canada’s version of the Loch Ness monster at a lake in British Columbia has stirred up the legend of the sea creature long-rumored to reside there.

The prehistoric lair of a gargantuan sea creature may have been found in the depths of the ocean.The remains of large prehistoric ichthyosaurs displaying injuries indicative of a large octopus-like creature suggest the legendary Kraken might have more of a basis in reality than previously thought. If confirmed, the beastswould have been up to 100 feet long, dwarfing today"s largest denizen of the depths - the colossal squid.

A giant sea monster, the likes of the mythological kraken, may have swum Earth"s ancient oceans, snagging what was thought to be the sea"s top predators — school bus-size ichthyosaurs with fearsome teeth.

Jon Rowe snapped two mysterious shapes in the water while he was photographing a rainbow."There was a rainbow so I got my camera out to take a photo and noticed this really large dark shape in the loch with two humps that were barely out of the water," he said. Moments after Rowe had taken the picture the strange creaturedescended out of sight.

Mr Rowe has dismissed claims that the shapes he saw in the water were not the legendary beast of the deep said to stalk the atmospheric Highland loch. He added: "I have no doubt, I work on the loch everyday and I"ve never seen anything like it. "

The search goes on for a strange balloon-like object that fell from the skies over Loch Ness.The police, coastguard and a search and rescue helicopter were all called in but found nothing. The alarm had been raised after members of the public witnessed a blue object falling from the skyon Saturday evening.

The emergency services undertook a night-time search of Loch Ness after reports a balloon-like object had fallen from the sky. The police, coastguard, lifeboat and an RAF search and rescue helicopter scoured the area but found nothing.
