Two kayakers claim to have spotted a strange creature in the waters of England"s Lake Windermere.Nicknamed "Bownessie" the Loch Ness Monster-like creature is fabled to live in the lake"s depths, Tom Pickles and Sarah Harrington both witnessed what they believed to be the beast. "Its skin was like a seal"s, but its shape was abnormal -- it"s not likeany animal I"ve ever seen before.

We saw it for about 20 seconds. It was petrifying. We paddled back to the shore straight away," says Harrington. Bownessie, the mythical younger and less famous sea monster of Britain"s Lake Windermere, who lives in the shadow of her northern neighbor, the fabled Loch Ness monster, may have been spotted today.

Simon Dinsdale has insisted that his father"s two-minute film of the Loch Ness Monster is genuine.The film originally shot in 1960 by Tim Dinsdale was sent to the RAF at the time and deemed to show an "unknown inanimate object". Now his son Simon has resparked interest by claiming to have witnessed the monster himself twice. Simon Dinsdale, a retired police detective from Essex, insists that the two minute film recorded 50 years ago by his father, a famous Nessie-hunter, is genuine.

The footage, shot by Tim Dinsdale in 1960, is one of the best-known images put forward as evidence by those who insist on the existence of the mysterious creature.

27-year-old Richard Preston has taken pictures of something unusual in Loch Ness.Working in the Aldourie Castle gardens on the banks of the Loch he noticed a peculiar series of humps protruding from the surface of the water. "When I looked closer I could clearly see the four hump-like features. I thought I’d take a picture of it, to see if there wasanything in it, to see what others thought," he said.See the news link below to see one of the pictures.

The legend of Nessie has resurfaced with a new sighting and pictures of the Loch Ness monster. Richard Preston, a landscape designer, has been the latest person to spot a mysterious shape that might be the Loch Ness monster and capture a series ofimages on camera.

A team is leading the hunt for a mysterious creature said to be living in England"s Lake Windermere.Nicknamed "Bow-Nessie" the alleged creature has been the subject of stories and sightings for years. Having scanned the lake with sonar the team picked up one 14 metre long disturbance but was unable to determine whatcaused it.

Monster hunters have used sonar equipment for the first time to search for a mysterious creature reportedly living in England"s largest lake. Sky News filmed out on Windermere with the team looking for proof that the beast exists.
