An unidentified animal has been attributed with multiple attacks on villagers in remote Indonesia.75-year-old farmer Aris Kuna was working in his garden when he was inexplicably attacked by something which he later described as a cross between a bear and a wild boar. A week later a plantation worker was attacked by the same animal while gathering fruit. He described how it had made a strange noise and stood up on its hind legs while launching its assault. This time however the encounter didn"t end well for the mysteriousassailant; the worker it had attacked used a sickle to defend himself, killing the creature in the process.

The carcass was later laid out for others to come and view but nobody was able to identify it. To add to its repertoire of unusual features the creature appeared to sport a long mane and sharp wolverine-like claws. "In all my life venturing into the jungle, hunting and such, I’ve never come across this species," said one local. Images of the creature can be viewed - here. An Indonesian plantation worker and a 75-year-old farmer got the shock of their lives when they were attacked by an unknown animal species in two separate occasions earlier this month.

In an unusual announcement the US government has assured people that mermaids most likely don"t exist.In a statement from the National Ocean Service officials were keen to emphasise that the aquatic sirens of legend are fictitious following the broadcasting of an Animal Planet documentary entitled "Mermaids: The Body Found". The program portrayed what the creatures might look like and why they"ve stayedhidden for so long."No evidence of aquatic humanoids has ever been found," read the official statement in an announcement strangely similar to another made by the CDC following the "zombie cannibal" attack last month which prompted them to state that "the CDC does not know of a virus or condition that would reanimate the dead".

The United States government has assured its citizens that, much like zombies, mermaids probably do not exist, saying in anofficial post: "No evidence of aquatic humanoids has ever been found".

Mark Sawyer got more than he bargained for when he reeled in a very unusual and bizarre type of fish.Weighing just under 2lb and caught in Cambridge, the strange fish is actually an amalgamation of three different fish species with the head of a roach, the body of a goldfish and the rear fin of a bream. Experts who have examined photographs of the catch agree that it is likely to be the offspring of more than one species."It is a proper oddity," saidSawyer.

"The head resembles more of a roach, its lips aren’t quite right. It has the body of a normal goldfish, its anal fin resembles a bream and the tail is of a fan-tailed goldfish." Images of the fish can be viewed - here. Most anglers’ tales revolve around the improbable size of their catch – but this specimen really does lookfishy. Mark Sawyer, 53, hooked the bizarre creature while fishing for carp in a lake.

A video has appeared online showing a glowing figure with wings appearing briefly on CCTV footage.The video shows an unremarkable street in Indonesia when out of nowhere an unidentified winged figure bathed in light suddenly drops down on the right-hand side and then quickly disappears. Moments later a number of people ( assumed tobe security guards ) rush over to see what"s happening.

The exact origins of the footage remain unclear with some speculating that it could be a viral advertisement for an upcoming movie or video game. Just what is that mysterious “winged being” purportedly caught on camera? Videos posted on YouTube are fascinating many as they show a mysterious burst of light that some saycontains a “humanoid” figure inside.
