Ziona Chana is head of the world"s biggest family with 39 wives, 94 children and 33 grandchildren.They all live together in a massive 100-room mansion in Baktwang village where his wives sleep in dormitories and take it in turns to sleep in his bed. The needs of his family are so great that it takes 30 whole chickens to feed them all for onemeal.

The family is organised with almost military discipline, with the oldest wife Zathiangi organising her fellow partners to perform household chores such as cleaning, washing and preparing meals. One evening meal can see them pluck 30 chickens, peel 132lb of potatoes and boil up to 220lb of rice.

The Indian man who claims to have ingested nothing for 70 years has been observed for two weeks by doctors.During his stint at an Indian hospital military doctors studied him for two weeks over which he allegedly ate or drank nothing whatsoever, nor did he go to the toilet. A neurologist involved in the study exclaimed - "it is still a mystery what kind of phenomenonthis is." An 83-year-old Indian holy man who says he has spent seven decades without food or water has astounded a team of military doctors who studied him during a two-week observation period.

Prahlad Jani spent a fortnight in a hospital in the western India state of Gujarat under constant surveillance from a team of 30 medics equipped with cameras and closed circuittelevision.
