The Indian man who claims to have ingested nothing for 70 years has been observed for two weeks by doctors.During his stint at an Indian hospital military doctors studied him for two weeks over which he allegedly ate or drank nothing whatsoever, nor did he go to the toilet. A neurologist involved in the study exclaimed - "it is still a mystery what kind of phenomenonthis is." An 83-year-old Indian holy man who says he has spent seven decades without food or water has astounded a team of military doctors who studied him during a two-week observation period.

Prahlad Jani spent a fortnight in a hospital in the western India state of Gujarat under constant surveillance from a team of 30 medics equipped with cameras and closed circuittelevision.

Scientists believe some of the earliest species of prehistoric birds wouldn"t have been able to flap their wings.Early types of birds such as the Archaeopteryx that lived 140 million years ago might have been incapable of powered flight because their feathers were too weak, instead opting toglide between the trees.

Residents in parts of England are being forced indoors by plagues of hairy caterpillars outside their homes.The caterpillars are becoming more common in England due to rising temperatures. Covered in barb-like hairs the brown tail moth caterpillars can strip trees bare in no time and can cause severe allergic reactions if their hairs are inhaled. There"s something blowing on the breeze in West Street.

And it"s not pleasant. Residents are keeping their windows and doors tightly closed, and gardens are no-go areas. Some householders even need to don full-body protective clothing - complete with breathing masks - to venture outside.

The method believed to be used by the inhabitants of Easter Island to move their statues has been called in to question.Up until now it has been widely believed that the inhabitants used a network of roads to transport the enormous stone head statues around the island however new research by archeologists has now suggested that the roads were purely ceremonial and wouldnot have made for a practical transportation system.

British archeologists are rejecting a 50-year-old theory of how Easter Island"s famous stone statues were moved around the island. Easter Island — a special territory of Chile in the South Pacific — is famous for its hundreds of moai, or statues representing deceased ancestors, built by the early Polynesianinhabitants.
