Paranormal researcher pays tribute to Dennis Hopper"s contribution to the UFO phenomenon via a scene in Easy Rider.The famous scence saw Hopper and Jack Nicholson"s character sitting around a campfire discussing extraterrestrials. In the film Hopper had said "I saw a satellite, man. And it was going across the sky. And it flashed three times at me and zigzagged and whizzed off, man. And I saw it." Dennis Hopper may have passed away, but along with his many film appearances, he has left an important legacy to UFO researchers.

That"s the belief of Vancouver-based paranormal researcher Jon Kelly, who says the script that Hopper and "Easy Rider" co-star Peter Fonda wrote for the 1969 counterculture classic helped introduce a lot of information about UFOs to a massive audience.

The West was shocked by the statement from a high-ranking Russian politician, which he released on Russian Channel One, the country’s main TV channel. On April 26, 2010, Channel One host Vladimir Pozner asked Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, the President of the Kalmykia Republic, the following question: “I’ve never met a person who would claim he was on an interplanetary alien aircraft. Has it really happened?“ “Seriously, it has happened,” the Kalmykia leader answered and told his outstanding story about his only encounter with extraterrestrials in his Moscow apartment.

“Was it the only encounter?” Pozner clarified. “Yes, the only one,” Ilyumzhinov confirmed. The aliens turned up in his Moscow apartment on Sept 18, 1997. He said as he was falling asleep he heard someone calling from the balcony. When he got up to check, he saw a "semi-transparent half-tube". He said he entered the tube and came across human-like aliens attired in yellow space suits.

An experiment using lasers to try and communicate with aliens may account for UFO sightings last month.The experiment used a device built by Paul Rowlands that converted messages in to light via lasers and transmitted them in to space. A few days later a series of 14 sightings of strange objects were reported within 20miles of the experiment site.

A UFO sighting in Livingston - spotted during last month"s volcanic ash shutdown of the country"s airspace - is causing a stir amongst enthusiasts who believe it could be connected to a unique experiment carried out on in Wales.
